Two of the new Computrol ci-8o pump control units have been installed at a renowned fuel distributor within the British Columbia interior, further expanding their customer service capability. The Computrol ci-8o offers credit card payment option to passing trade, while still offering traditional card-lock customers with billed by account payment facilities.

Computrol continues to broaden its representation base within the USA, after attending the WPMA in Las Vegas this year together with Infonet's USA representative, who'll investigate expanding Computrol's coverage in the Pacific and Nothwest USA states.

Computrol has entered into a partnership with Universal Metering Ltd, Head Office England, UK. Universal Metering is an international supplier of water metering, control equipment and related dispersion/payments systems. The latter being a version of Computrol's successful fuel management C6000 terminal and Profuel II software, reengineered to suit water applications. Computrol completed new installations for Halifax Transit and the Sunshine Coast Regional District to its already large stable of public service operations. Computrol has installations in most municipal and provincial fuel sites.

Computrol's C6000 becomes the Bulk Water Management system of choice. Recent installations at the City of Calgary and the City of El Paso sell bulk water on a "Fill Now and Bill Later" program. With alternate flexibility of this system, it is also possible to prepay and fill-up on an automated reducing balance basis, if offered by facility managers.

Computrol Increases Market Awareness Campaign within South Eastern US Market, together with Lucas Ford Associates. For the first time Computrol exhibited its Canadian manufactured fuel management systems in USA, held at the Atlanta's Omni Fleet Fuelling Trade Show. Computrol products certainly aren't new to the USA, as there are numerous installations currently in service within many of the US states. However, in the past there's been little marketing effort towards actively increasing sales outside of Canada, where Computrol products dominate within its realm of fuel and water dispensing markets.

Computrol Fuel Systems has released its latest fuel control system, the Fleet 100. This newest addition to the full range of Computrol’s fuel management systems provides for a low cost sytem with many of the features provided in their larger, more powerful systems.

The Fleet 100 comes with a comprehensive reference manual, which includes commissioning details for those customers wishing to save on installer fees. It also includes 25 pre-programmed Computrol Coil Fleet cards and additional cards can be purchased in packs of 25 to accomodate fleets of up to 100. The Fleet 100 is ideal for smaller operators who want the benefit of a fuel control system but do not require sophisticated fuel reporting and invoicing capabilities.

Computrol Fuel Systems appoints Lucas Ford Associates as sole representative for Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, North & South Carolina, Florida and the Caribbean. LFA, currently lead by their president Lucas Ford III, has been in operation for over 35 years. A team of five representatives cover the South Eastern US States together with the Caribbean Islands.

Computrol unveiled its new generation of “pay at the pump” fuel control system; the ci-80. This new system provides for credit card payment processing in real time. The robust ci-80 is ideally suited for those customers in remote locations who would like the ability to accept credit cards.

All major credit cards will be accepted by the ci-80. These include Visa, MasterCard and American Express. The ci-80 may also be configured to handle propietary cards and allows owners to set up thieir own loyalty discount programs.

Computrol is pleased to announce that is has relocated its production and research facility along with its sales offices to new premises in Burnaby, BC, a suburb of metro Vancouver. The new premises provide better production and research facilities and are centrally located in the lower mainland.
